Aiden will do anything to protect Alex… Even doing the one thing he knows she fears the most in life. He will make war with anyone who tries to bring harm to her, even the Gods…
There isn’t a whole lot I can say without giving the whole thing away! Alex has Awakened… and it’s up to Aiden to save her now. This is a must read before Apollyon. In a way, this novella is one of the best parts of the series. You experience all new things that the author has never put in front of you before, and it’s a short journey that you wish never ended.
I’m in love with this series! It’s captivating. It’s a thrill ride. It’s a modern day spin on Greek mythology meets romance and action. The Covenant Series takes you a roller coaster and leaves you begging for another ride. (Just re-read!) Seth and Aiden both ratchet up the temperature in very different ways. You may love them both or hate them all, but you will not be unemotional. Deity takes the drama and the twisted everchanging plot to all new levels. I read this book in one setting. Hell, I even carried my Ipad with me to the bathroom. At the end of this installment, you’ll be burning to get your hands on Elixir, which thankfully is already available!
Read! Read! Read!
(By the way, thanks to those who leave comments. You got me out of a slump. You guys are awesome.)
Alex lives, and loves, recklessly, until a single decision leads to a heartbreaking revelation. As a mysterious threat closes in and she confronts a Council that wants to see her in servitude, Alex faces a choice between love that is fated… and love that is forbidden.
It’s a roller coaster ride, with no seat belt. I fell in love, I was heartbroken, I laughed so hard my stomach was sore for days, I cried a few tears, I read as fast as possible to see what would happen next, and tried to read slower so that I could catch and remember every small detail of what was happening…..
The constant back and forth with Seth and Aiden can give you whip-lash, but in a teenage romance kind of way. It’s sweet, and sweaty and all things attractive. There’s also a war brewing. The daimons are preparing to attack, and Alex is in the middle of everything!
I do, however, disagree with the reading age recommended for this series…. I would say 13+… not 9+.
Read it! Let me know what you think! And if you’ve already read it, I’d love to chat with you about the series!
This series is like a modern spin on Greek mythology meets vampires and hard core high school drama. The high school is called the Covenant. The students at the Covenant are learning boring stuff like algebra, and training to be daimon (vampire-like creatures) hunters. In this book, Alex learns why her mother pulled her from the Covenant to hide among the mortals three years before. She believes her mother to have been killed by the daimons, but soon learns the bone chilling news that she is infact not dead, and her very existence changes everything Alex knows about her life. Alex also comes to know something about herself that could, once again, change everything. This book has heavy on the action, steady on the reckless romance, and full of teen age humor. Basically, if I tell you anything else about the story line, I’ll give it all away, and Jennifer L Armentrout is a much better story teller than I am! Read it and give me your feedback!
